See the bubbly girl on top? That's me. Akshitha Kumar. I moved from New Jersey in 3rd grade and have lived in Northern Virginia ever since. I currently attend Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ). I don't think you'll find me sleeping anytime before 12 on a school day because of the crazy workload I get from school. TJ always keeps me on my toes, but I guess you can say I love being busy.

In the little free time I have, I watch Gilmore Girls and listen to SZA's songs. I'm the type of person to collect souvenirs from every place I visit, talk until I get told to shut up, and take a picture of almost everything and anything I do. If you can't already tell, sharing my thoughts with everyone is what I love most. Besides just doing schoolwork and hobbies, I hold a great love for how our world works. To be specific, the business world captivates me in such a way that no other subject does.
A bit about the blog...
Despite my love for all things STEM at TJ, I felt the need to create a space for me to delve deeper into my passion for economics and finance. Day after day, I excitedly share the latest business news and lessons from my AP Econ class with my dad, so I thought “Why not expand my audience?”. I work on side projects here and there, but I aspired to create a single place where I could share all my visions and experiences with the world. And so here we are. All my friends call me “Aks” and through this blog, I want to share my thoughts “out loud” and make new friends along the way.
With “Aks Out Loud,” I aim to be both personal and informative with my content. In efforts to showcase my data analysis projects, share the news I find personally interesting, recommend books and podcasts I use on a daily basis, and make resources I find available to all, I hope this platform will not only inspire me but also you.
